OUR BELIEFS

What we believe matters. Our beliefs are rooted in the truth of God’s Word and provide the foundation for who we are as a church. These statements of faith help express what we believe about God, His Word, salvation, the Church, and the life He has called us to live. Scripture is our authority, Jesus is our foundation, and our desire is to faithfully live what we believe.

Refuge Church
Statements of Faith

God's Word is Our Ultimate Authority
We believe the Bible is the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
The Trinity
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Deity of Jesus
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
Salvation
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they hat are lost unto the reassertion of damnation.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
The Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
Unity of Believers
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
