WE SEEK TO SERVE

Refuge Leadership

Jesus is the leader of His church (Ephesians 4:11-16).  Our church leaders are simply doing their best to follow Him. We define leadership the way Jesus does,  " You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" ( Matthew 20:25-28).

REFUGE GRANDFATHERS

Scripture uses the word presbyteros, commonly translated elder, to describe mature men entrusted with spiritual care and leadership within the church. Here at Refuge, we deeply value this biblical role. We simply choose to call these men our Grandfathers because we believe the name beautifully expresses what we desire this role to represent.  For us, this is not a title to attain or a position of status. It is a role earned through years of faithfully following Jesus, loving and leading a family, serving His Church, and demonstrating godly wisdom across generations.
